mary cahill garrard

Mary Cahill Garrard launched her illustrious career as a hair artist in Boulder in 1989, opening the successful salon group, The Parlour. Word of her genius spread and salons were opened across the front range in: Boulder, Denver - downtown and the west highlands, Ft. Collins, Broomfield, and Estes Park.

In 1991 —eager to bring inspiration and sound technique to her team— Mary went on her own education journey. She began by studying with The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California. There, the seeds for her insatiable curiosity were planted for education concepts, technique and learning styles. And upon her return, she created, developed and facilitated the highly innovative approach to education and training that The Parlour has offered ever since.

Her exploration continued with the UK-based, and world-renowned, Toni&Guy™ brand, where she spent five years as a Regional Artistic and Education Director while maintaining her role at The Parlour. Mary then went on to oversee the development of new collections and education offerings for Modern Organic Products™ (MOP®) and was commissioned by over 20 hair salons nationwide to spread her energy and enthusiasm for the profession via speaking engagements and training. Her industry influence has also included facilitation of educational and sales retreats for American Crew and MOP.

With over 20 years of experience behind the chair and an impressive pedigree in hair inspiration, her new journey continues her desire to bring the concept of Creating Beauty: inside—>out to the masses. The launch of the Creating Beauty brand is the culmination of her life’s experiences: bringing a life-changing approach to hair education, artistry and customer service.
