After completing her B.A. in Business at the University of San Diego, Holly began her hairdressing journey in 1993 at Michael Taylor Institute of Hair Design. She then joined The Parlour in Boulder as an assistant under Mary Cahill Garrard. She quickly earned her stripes —becoming highly proficient in the Toni&Guy™ classics, as an artistic team member creating contemporary and avant-garde collections of work, and as a published art team member. Her success as an artist progressed rapidly, culminating in ground-breaking industry work with top teams from Schwarzkopf, L’Oréal, Wella, MOP®, American Crew® and AG®. When she is not training other stylists at home in Colorado, Holly visits Chicago and New York for education and creative nourishment.
After growing a huge following of over 300 loyal clients, Holly’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in. In 2003, she opened the doors to her own salon —in partnership with The Parlour— at Flatirons Marketplace in Broomfield. A natural leader, she quickly built a team from the ground up. Now this talented, and well-sought- after team of 12, is a thriving group attending to over 50 clients per day.
After being in the business for over 14 years, Holly had a vision. She decided that it was time to take salon leadership and hairdressing to an entirely different level —from training and coaching to business opportunity and customer service. With a new direction and approach to salon services, she knew she could bring a whole new level of happiness to her team and clients.
Today, Holly continues her visionary business leadership and hairdressing artistry under the brand Creating Beauty: inside—>out. Making a home for her much loved clientele and team of stylists at industrie HAIRDRESSING. She and Mary Cahill Garrard —together again in a new salon concept— are combining their considerable talents to upgrade and improve service offerings and experiences for communities of clients across the Front Range.
